I do not believe in unphotogenic people. I believe in rushed sessions, poor light and no preparation.

Women and men who have not been photographed properly since their wedding, or since school. Founders who need one portrait that is actually theirs. People who have decided that "I am not photogenic" is a sentence they would like to stop saying.
Portraits that look like you - not like a pose
How it works
We choose the location for the light rather than the backdrop: a street in Munich, a studio, the woods, a room with one good window. Before we meet you get a moodboard, so nothing on the day is a surprise. The first fifteen minutes are the warm-up and I plan for them.
Women's portrait photography
Most of my portrait work is with women, and a good part of what people search for is a female portrait photographer Munich clients can be themselves in front of. A session is unhurried on purpose: the photographs that matter usually happen after the point where a shorter session would have ended.
Men's portrait photography
As a male portrait photographer Munich men are sent to by their partners more often than they admit, I photograph them the same way, and the results look nothing like the women's work: direct, quiet, unstyled. No forced confidence and no studio gloss. Men usually arrive convinced they are bad at this, and are wrong about it by the second roll.
Autumn portrait photography in Munich
September and October are the best weeks of the year for portraits here. The light drops low, the Englischer Garten and the woods along the Isar turn, and there is no midday sun to fight. An autumn photoshoot in Munich also means warm layers, which photograph better than summer clothes. These weeks book out first, so a date is usually set in August.
Outdoor & indoor portrait sessions
Natural portrait photography outdoors - the Isar, the Englischer Garten, the streets of Schwabing and Maxvorstadt - or indoors, in a studio or at home. I photograph throughout Munich and the surrounding area.

If German is not the language you want to be photographed in, we work in English or Russian from the first message to the final gallery. Being photographed in English changes how a session feels: you can think out loud, say what you do not like, and stop translating yourself. A large part of my clients are expats, founders and families who moved to Munich for work.

What to wear for your portrait photoshoot
Preparation is part of the work and it is included. We choose the clothes together, I send references and review what is already in your wardrobe. If you want hair and make-up, I share the artists in Munich I work with and you book them directly.
Portrait photography prices
A portrait session is 600 euro and usually runs an hour and a half to two hours. Sessions outside Munich are charged at 1 euro per kilometre for the outward and return journey.
A fully retouched final gallery, selected by me or by you.
Deposit. 50 € holds the date and is deducted from the final invoice.
Timelines. Preview gallery within a week; finished images four to six weeks after the session.
Studio. Rental billed separately at cost, if a studio is used.
Express delivery. Finished images within one week: 150 €.
If you prefer to choose yourself, select up to 60 from the preview gallery. No VAT under § 19 UStG.

Booking a portrait session
How much does a portrait photoshoot in Munich cost?
A session is 600 euro and usually runs an hour and a half to two hours. The date is held with a 50 euro deposit, deducted from the final invoice.
Can the session be held in English?
Yes. Sessions and correspondence are in English or Russian, from the first message to the final gallery.
I have no idea how to pose. Is that a problem?
No. I direct when it helps and leave you alone when it does not. Nobody arrives knowing how to be photographed.
Where are portrait sessions photographed?
In the city, outdoors, in a studio chosen for the light, or at your home. The location is chosen for the light rather than the backdrop.
What should I wear for a portrait photoshoot?
We choose the wardrobe together beforehand and I send references. Two or three options are usually enough.
Do I need hair and make-up?
Not necessarily. If you want it, I share the artists in Munich I work with and you book them directly, with no mark-up from me.

Portraitfotografie in München - Frauen und Männer
Frauen- und Männerportraits in der Stadt, im Studio oder in der Natur. Gearbeitet wird mit kinematografischem Licht, geführt statt gestellt, ohne Studiokitsch. Der Ort wird nach dem Licht ausgesucht, nicht nach der Kulisse.
Vorbereitung ist inbegriffen
Vor dem Shooting stimmen wir Looks und Kleidung gemeinsam ab. Auf Wunsch vermittle ich Visagistinnen und Hairstylistinnen in München, mit denen ich selbst arbeite - Sie buchen direkt, ohne Aufschlag von mir. Sie erhalten vorab ein Moodboard.
Ein komplettes Shooting ansehen
Drei Galerien, genau so, wie die Kundinnen sie erhalten haben: Paris im Regen, Red lips und Golden silence.
Preis und Ablauf
Ein Shooting kostet 600 Euro. Innerhalb einer Woche erhalten Sie eine Vorschau-Galerie mit allen gelungenen Aufnahmen, meist 300 bis 500 Bilder. Treffe ich die Auswahl, sind die fertigen Bilder vier Wochen nach dem Shooting da; wählen Sie selbst bis zu 60 Bilder aus, kommen nach Ihrer Auswahl zwei Wochen Retusche hinzu, insgesamt also rund sechs Wochen. Als Kleinunternehmerin im Sinne von § 19 UStG wird keine Umsatzsteuer berechnet. Die Bilder erhalten Sie innerhalb von vier Wochen, auf Wunsch gegen 150 Euro Aufpreis innerhalb einer Woche. Termine außerhalb Münchens werden mit 1 Euro je Kilometer für Hin- und Rückfahrt berechnet.
Die Shootings und die Korrespondenz finden auf Englisch oder Russisch statt.
