English-speaking family photographer in Munich, working in English with international families, for natural family photos at home and outdoors. I photograph families with young children across Munich and around the Isar, the Englischer Garten, Starnberger See and Ammersee, focusing on interaction rather than posed photographs.
I do not believe in unphotogenic people. I believe in rushed sessions, poor light and no preparation.

Children are not asked to pose
Children who are bribed into smiling look bribed. We let them play, hide and come back, and the pictures are better for it. As a mother of two, I plan for the chaos rather than fight it.

Outdoors, or at home
Most of my family sessions happen outside: along the Isar, in the Englischer Garten, in the woods around Munich, at Starnberger See or Ammersee. Low light through trees, wind, a river to throw stones into - children behave like children there, which is the whole point. An at-home family photoshoot works differently and just as well: the couch you cuddle on, the kitchen where you share breakfasts, the room they first called their own. If you are leaving Munich soon, a session in your own flat is the one thing you cannot recreate later. We decide together, based on the season, the light and how your family actually spends a Saturday.
I photograph families throughout Munich and the surrounding area, including Bogenhausen, Schwabing, Haidhausen and locations around the Englischer Garten and the Isar.
Autumn family photography in Munich
Autumn is the season most families choose. Leaves along the Isar, low light in the Englischer Garten, the woods around the city in colour - and children who can run without overheating. Herbst-Fotoshooting dates in September and October are also the ones that arrive in time for Christmas cards, which is why they go first.
Family photography with young children
Toddlers and small children set the pace, and a family photo shoot is built around naps, snacks and short attention spans. Sessions can be held entirely in English, which makes the experience easier for international and expat families living in Munich. An English-speaking family photographer means nobody has to translate themselves on the day.
Planning your family photoshoot in Munich
Christmas card sessions
Every autumn a good part of my calendar goes to families who need photographs for their Christmas cards. Book from September onwards: cards are usually printed in the second half of November, so a session in October or early November leaves room for the gallery, your choice of frame and the printing itself. Winter light in Munich is low and soft, which suits these pictures better than summer sun.

Family photography prices
A family session is 600 euro and usually runs an hour and a half to two hours. Sessions outside Munich are charged at 1 euro per kilometre for the outward and return journey.
A fully retouched final gallery, selected by me or by you.
Deposit. 50 € holds the date and is deducted from the final invoice.
Timelines. Preview gallery within a week; finished images four to six weeks after the session.
Studio. Rental billed separately at cost, if a studio is used.
Express delivery. Finished images within one week: 150 €.
If you prefer to choose yourself, select up to 60 from the preview gallery. No VAT under § 19 UStG.
Time, not a countdown
A session usually runs 1.5 to 2 hours, but I do not watch the clock. I work until we have the story.

Where can we have our family photos taken in Munich?

Can the session be held in English?
Yes. Sessions and correspondence are in English or Russian, from the first message to the final gallery.
What happens if my children do not cooperate?
Nothing. Children are not asked to pose, and the session is planned around how they actually behave rather than against it.
What should we wear?
No matching outfits. We choose clothes together beforehand, based on the location and the light.
What happens if it rains?
We move the date. Weather cancellations are free and the deposit carries over to the new session.

Die meisten Familienshootings entstehen draußen: an der Isar, im Englischen Garten, in den Wäldern rund um München, am Starnberger See oder am Ammersee. Ebenso gerne fotografiere ich Sie zu Hause, dort wo Ihr Alltag stattfindet. Keine abgestimmten Outfits, kein Lächeln auf Kommando - geführt statt gestellt. Den Ort wählen wir gemeinsam - nach Jahreszeit, Licht und danach, wie Ihre Familie einen Samstag verbringt.
Kinderfotografie ohne Posen
Auch Kinderfotos entstehen im Spiel und nicht auf Kommando. Als Mutter von zwei Kindern weiß ich, wie ein Termin mit Kindern wirklich abläuft - und plane ihn genau so.

Fotos für Weihnachtskarten
Jedes Jahr im Herbst fotografiere ich Familien für ihre Weihnachtskarten. Termine ab September: Karten werden meist in der zweiten Novemberhälfte gedruckt, ein Shooting im Oktober oder Anfang November lässt genug Zeit für die Galerie, Ihre Auswahl und den Druck. Das tiefe Winterlicht in München passt zu diesen Bildern besser als Sommersonne.
Preise für Familienfotos
Ein Familienshooting kostet 600 Euro und dauert in der Regel anderthalb bis zwei Stunden. Der Termin wird mit einer Anzahlung von 50 Euro verbindlich reserviert; die Anzahlung wird mit der Schlussrechnung verrechnet. Termine außerhalb Münchens werden mit 1 Euro je Kilometer für Hin- und Rückfahrt berechnet. Als Kleinunternehmerin im Sinne von § 19 UStG wird keine Umsatzsteuer berechnet.
Innerhalb einer Woche erhalten Sie eine Vorschau-Galerie mit allen gelungenen Aufnahmen. Treffe ich die Auswahl, sind die fertigen Bilder vier Wochen nach dem Shooting da; wählen Sie selbst bis zu 60 Bilder aus, kommen nach Ihrer Auswahl zwei Wochen Retusche hinzu - insgesamt also rund sechs Wochen. Eine Express-Lieferung innerhalb einer Woche kostet 150 Euro. Die Galerie bleibt mindestens zwölf Monate verfügbar.
